About Jasmine Pema
Jasmine Pema is a visual artist based in Denver. With interest in the contemporary, the metaphysical, and the socially progressive, she explores multiple mediums. Current practice includes photography, painting and drawing, metalsmithing, and sculpture.
Invested in a conceptual lens which developed through her lifelong practice of Tibetan Buddhism- all work is fabricated with a conscious approach and curiosity to each moment, as well as an interest in challenging the conventional and the mundane. Her work often explores relationship to the body and engages the intersection between binaries as a suggestion of the ineffability of life itself.
Pema has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has received awards for her photography and sculpture.
